Walk In The New Man

(Colossians 3:10) “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:”

Let the “new man” determine what you believe and how you walk today. Let the “new man” determine your politics and economic philosophy. Let the “new man” give you the freedom to walk independently of the overwhelming flood of messages impressed on your mind by the internet, television and music industry. Walk in the knowledge consistent with who you are in Christ rather than the identity thrust upon you by a world looking to profit from your ignorance. Live today without the label of “conservative” or “liberal” determining your perception of the spiritual condition of those you know and will meet. Let the “new man” determine what captures your thinking and heart.

What Is The Role Of Submission Today?

We are surrounded in a virtual world of blogs and Facebook posts that express anger and frustration over what is going on in our world today. “Submission” is not a word commonly used in relation to the earthly governmental powers, in personal relationships or even among members of the Body of Christ. In fact, we live in a time of defiance or at least defiance expressed. But submission is a concept spoken of over and over again in Scripture. It is also a powerful force and historically proven as a demonstration of strength even in times of civil disobedience when there has been physical submission without retaliation. What is the role of submission today in our relationships to government, in personal relationships and within the church?

Prayer And The Supply

(Galatians 6:10)  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
As we watch the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy unfold, we are reminded of the hours and days after Katrina struck New Orleans just a few years ago. We are also reminded that we don’t have to go to the mission field to help relieve human misery. Use this as an opportunity to pray for those suffering and supply their need at every opportunity. True love for people demands nothing in return and true grace supplies the need for those who cannot supply for themselves. You could be the answer to someone else’s prayers.
